Rene Escobar is a proud third-generation jeweler whose love affair with jewelry began with watching his father create beautiful pieces. In the early 1980's, he was sent to Florida from his native home, Nicaragua, to attend college. However, his passion for jewelry making compelled him to seek out a career as a goldsmith and he got his first position as a jeweler at seventeen. In the early 1990s, Rene formed Rene Escobar Inc., his studio, where he created one-of-a-kind pieces for collectors throughout the southeastern US. Rene's collections are always hand-made using recycled precious metals and responsibly sourced gemstones. He believes that each individual piece of jewelry is in its own essence a work of art.
